That can't be in United States Dollars? 85,000 is a lot, and ought to buy more then a few maskines.

He has 5 expensive-sounding machines with lots of RAID memory and big RAM. I'm not sure what his hosting arrangements are, since the data centre appears at be ... at home? In a small office? Maybe he has a leased line?

Interesting stats, though - 13m urls (indexable) doesn't sound like a lot.
